This site is dedicated to photography. Unfortunately this is not the direction it took up to now. Up to now it was more or less a personal site about our transition to BC and our travels. We will continue posting pictures in the gallery to this effect; however we will not be posting articles for the moment. This site is still scheduled for a complete redesign; however it will happen later then I thought. Our time is divided between: learning and setting up a Linux environment at home, renovations in our new home, playing hosts to visitors, social life, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, biking, diving, traveling, swimming, rock climbing, photography, reading, gardening, researching environmental issues and cooking. Understandably the new site will see the day in a bit. Peter & Andrea

What's been keeping us busy lately...renovating! Yes, after renovating the entire house in montreal for the past 5 years, I decided I wanted more! So now we're renovating our new house in B.C. However so far it is what I would call 'light' renovating...ripping out old carpets, painting, installing crown mouldings, installing chandeliers, fans, changing light switches, dimmers and plugs...never a dull moment! I am also working on building our own decent sized compost bin for $0. I like that price! I am taking pics of that too and will post them soon and write something about it to make you all feel bad you don't own a composting box yet! :) Check out some new pics Andrea added into gallery:album:new house. You can see some of the renovations recently done, with the before and after pics. Oh and you can now vote for your favourite pics! Not that they're all great...some are just for what we'd like to call 'documentation purposes', not artistic merit. Summer's nearing and end...all you montreal folks better start gathering twigs and branches so you can keep warm duing the winter! :) P.S blog comments are coming soon - I just have to find the right module and install it on our server. Then you'll be able to tell me to shut up directly under the article when I rant. |

Wednesday we've upgraded our web server software. The CMS (Content Management System - joomla) was upgraded, as well as our gallery software. |
